Altura is the recognized Economic Development District in East-Central Idaho Region VI. As a company, we assist communities in meeting their economic development and infrastructure needs. We are a full service planning and economic development organization. We assist communities with all phases of project development and implementation.

 

Our organization maintains excellent working relationships with the Idaho Department of Commerce (IDOC), the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ), USDA-Rural Development (RD), Army Corps of Engineers (ACoE), and the Economic Development Administration (EDA). These relationships have been key to maximizing project funding. As an organization, we have expertise in bringing together multiple funding sources to complete beneficial projects for the economic growth of Eastern Idaho. We work diligently with municipalities, federal funding sources, local urban renewals, and private sector businesses to develop projects that will leave a lasting positive impact on the community.

What funding agencies do you work with?

Altura has developed an extensive history of successful relationships with the Idaho Department of Commerce, Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, USDA-Rural Development, Army Corps of Engineers, and The Economic Development Administration.  We can assist your community in securing the right funding options for your project. 

Can you help us pass a bond?

Yes, we will work closely with your community in the selection of bond counsel as well as assist in the proper educational outreach efforts to your residents that will help you maximize your probabilities of passing a needed bond.

Do you only work with grants?

No, many projects we administer are funded with a combination of grant and loan funds.  Some projects may be grant only and some may be only loan eligible.  Altura will work closely with your community to evaluate all the best funding options available that will fit your community’s needs.

CAN YOU HELP US WITH NEW OR RELOCATING BUSINESS NEEDS?

Yes, depending on the type of business, we may be able to help you secure grant funding to assist your community with infrastructure expenses.  Our loan department may also be able to help new or relocating businesses with fixed asset financing.
